Scholarship Requirements and Past Recipients
Requirements:
- The student must be a graduating Clyde-Savannah High School Senior.
- The student must have shown an interest in History, evidenced by performance in coursework, extracurricular activities, or projects related to local, state or national history. (Active participation in community service, especially activities connected to local history or education will be greatly valued)
- The student must submit a written statement outlining how they have satisfied the requirement listed in 2. (above) and include their future plans and aspirations.
- The student must submit at least one letter of recommendation for a teacher, counselor, or community leader.
- Application must be submitted by the due date assigned. (See guidance counselor)
* Selection of the scholarship recipient will be made by the Galen Historical Society Board of Directors based on the student's written statement and letter(s) of recommendation only. There will be no access to the student's identity by the Board.
** The recipient will receive a $500 scholarship from the Galen Historical Society at the Commencement Ceremony held on graduation day.
